What did You do this Weekend?

March 14, 2009

blog-picI hear this all the time: “I don’t have time to workout.” Well, do you have 10 minutes in a day?

Last weekend I competed in what’s called a crossfit competition where we did 3 workouts in the span of 4 hours and they all took me less than 10 minutes each.  Doesn’t sound like much right?  Have a look for yourself….I needed a week to recover!

Click here to see a trailor of the workout.  I’m in the video a couple times doing deadlifts and thrusters in the backround wearing all black.   There were over 70 athletes competing at the Throwdown event and I placed in the top 10.

So do your body a favor and save the excuses.  Go run some stairs and get your blood moving.  Or see how long it takes you to do 100 pushups or 100 squats, and try to beat your time later that day.  You don’t have time NOT to extercise.  You’re in the pain of getting old, fat and degenerative, or you’re in the pain of building sweat equity. Which one will you choose?

    Nice work, Dr. Ryan.

Most people know Ryan as a bright, loving and gentle wellness warrior. You are mistaken. He is a bright, loving and gentle, bad-ass wellness warrior.

We are very proud of you, my man. Like the saying goes, “The way that you do anything in your life, is the way that you do everything in your life.”

    Recognizing the greatness in you,

    Doc
